Name: Amy Scott
Amy Scott, age 57, of Hazlehurst, died December 29, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Scott was born October 14, 1952 in Lansing, Michigan to the late James Kenneth Hope & the late Virginia Joan Palmer Hope. She was a retired dietician with Bethany Nursing Home of Vidalia and attended Northgate Baptist Church.
Survivors include husband, Ed Scott; son, C. J. Scott; sister, Patty Ann Breedlove all of Hazlehurst; brothers, James Hope of Lansing, MI and Tom Hope of Sault Saunte Marie, MI; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 1, 2010 at 3:00pm from Northgate Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Phillips and Rev. Wayne Merritt officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service.
The family will assemble at the residence, 131 Elizabeth Church Road Hazlehurst.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
