Name: Oscar Hutchinson
Oscar Hutchinson, age 80, of Hazlehurst died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.
Mr. Hutchinson was born April 4, 1929 to the late James Cleveland Hutchinson and the late Ethel Pickren Hutchinson. He was a native of Jeff Davis County, a retired Weaver from Amoco Fabrics and was a member and former deacon of Liberty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene McCall Hutchinson and granddaughter, Tina Hutchinson.
Survivors include his daughters, Marty L. McCall (Christy Hicks) of Gainsville, Marsha Gail (Tim) Thompson of Athens and Martha Jean (James) Lynch of Conyers; sons, Harold Lee (Carol) Hutchinson, Sr. of Yakima, WA, Timothy Charles (Evelene) Hutchinson of Brunswick, Michael Gene (Brenda) Hutchinson, Sr. of Hazlehurst, Steve Wayne (Chastity) Hutchinson of Lyons, Robert Neil (Jan) Hutchinson of Yakima, WA, and Buddy (Linda) Hutchinson, Sr. of Hazlehurst; brother, Jimmy (Ann) Hutchinson of Hazlehurst; 28 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 14th at 2pm at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Carter, Rev. Scottie Pitts and Rev. Terry Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Mr. Hutchinson will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to service time.
The family will assemble at the residence, 40 E. First Avenue, Hazlehurst.
Funeral arrangements for Oscar Hutchinson, age 80, are under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
