Name: Sarah P. Wilkes
Sarah Hallie Pittman Wilkes, age 89, of 23 Currie St. Hazlehurst died Saturday, Nov. 7th in the Lumber City Nursing Home.
Mrs. Wilkes was born November 12, 1919 in Telfair Co. to the late Ira Pittman and the late Lure Baugheum Pittman. She was the widow of Fred Paul Wilkes and was a retired supervisor with Eros Mfg.
Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Don & Geraldine Wilkes and Paul & Kathy Wilkes all of Hazlehurst; grandsons, Andy (Beth) Wilkes and Clay (Stephanie) Wilkes all of Douglas; brother, Billy Pittman of Hazlehurst; and great grandchildren, Noah, Kalli, & Joel Wilkes all of Douglas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 9th at 2:00pm from Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Dewitt Corbin, Rev. Brian Brazzell, and Rev. Scottie Pitts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 8th from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
The family will assemble at the home of Paul & Kathy Wilkes, 164 Arthur McNeal Rd.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
