Name: Thera Lee Hearn
Thera Lee Goodman Hearn, age 78, of 139 N. Williams St. Hazlehurst died Saturday, October 17, 2009 in the Hazlehurst Court Care after an extended illness.
Mrs. Hearn was born April 8, 1931 in Jeff Davis County to the late Hilton & Vertie Chavis Kersey and was the widow of Kenneth L. Goodman, Sr. and Ezekiel “Zeke” Hearn. She was a retired seamstress and a faithful member of Lumber City Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jean Perry of Blackshear; son, Kenneth Goodman, Jr. of Sixmile, SC; sister, Elaine Toler of Hazlehurst; brother, Ancle Kersey of Vidalia; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 19, 2009 at 2:00pm from Lumber City Baptist Church with Rev. John Daughtery and Rev. Donnie Sutton officiating. Interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Terry Brown, Bobby Brown, Tommy Lee, Merle Webster, Johnny Toler, & Glynn Stinson.
Musical selections were rendered by the Lumber City Baptist Church Choir.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
